Booking policies

How a Musafir booking works end to end — what confirms a trip, what can still change, and what we do when something goes wrong on the ground.

Quotations and price validity

Every quotation states the date it stops being valid. Until you confirm, the price can move with hotel availability, airline fares and exchange rates. After confirmation we absorb ordinary movement — only a government levy or a fare re-issue caused by your own change can alter a confirmed price.

What confirms a booking

  • An advance of 25% of the trip value, or the full amount of any non-refundable component we have to buy immediately.
  • Legible ID for every traveller — passport for international travel, government photo ID for domestic.
  • Balance cleared no later than 21 days before departure, or immediately if you book inside that window.

Changes after confirmation

Dates, hotels and routing can usually be changed up to 30 days before departure at cost. Inside 30 days, supplier penalties apply and we pass them on at cost with no service charge added.

If something fails on the ground

You have one number for the whole journey, staffed 24/7 while you are travelling. If a booked service cannot be delivered we arrange the nearest equivalent at our cost and settle the difference with you afterwards, not while you are standing in a hotel lobby.

Things outside our control

Weather closures, road and pass closures, permit refusals, strikes and airline schedule changes are not within our control. We will always re-plan around them, but the supplier's own refund terms govern any money already committed.

Document status

This is a working draft published for review. It will be replaced by the counsel-approved version before the site accepts live bookings. If anything here conflicts with what a specialist told you in writing, tell us and the written commitment stands.
